The ‘Houzz Pro’ app provides an overview of virtual floor plans

Houzz Inc. has introduced a new augmented reality (AR) feature for 3D floor plans in Houzz Pro, a business management and marketing solution for home construction and design professionals. According to Houzz, professionals can walk homeowners through a virtual tour of their finished project in the context of their current home using the app.

“At Houzz, we’re focused on building technologies that make the home remodeling and design experience more productive and enjoyable for industry professionals and their clients,” said Alon Cohen, co-founder and president of Houzz. “Over the past year, the number of 3D floor plans created using Houzz Pro has more than tripled, signifying the important role visual tools play in communicating with customers. Now, we’ve created a true augmented reality-based experience for residential construction and design professionals to immerse their clients in a renovation or redesign proposal and better visualize how their space will be transformed.

With the AR View for Houzz Pro 3D Floor Plans, pros can provide a life-size tour to better communicate the value of making major changes to a home, like adding or removing walls, windows, cupboards or islands. Pros can also easily show customers how featured products and materials, such as countertops and furniture, will fit into their home, speeding up the decision-making and buying process.

The 3D Floor Plan Tool is included with every Houzz Pro subscription, helping professionals run an efficient, profitable business and easily reach new customers, while providing an exceptional customer experience. Houzz Pro is available in over 10 countries in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
