On Saturday, Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni complained to the victims of the collapse of the Machina Mosque, pledging to help the victims and complete the mosque.

The mosque under construction on Nguru-Machina Road in Nguru Local Government Area, Yobe State collapsed last Thursday killing four people and trapping 31 others.

Governor Buni, who was represented by his deputy, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana, described the incident as unfortunate and shocking, especially at a time like this.

He sympathized with the families, who lost their loved ones in this unfortunate incident and prayed that Allah would comfort them for this irreparable loss.

Buni assured the completion of the mosque and urged the victims to continue praying for the state and the nation at large.

Briefing the governor on the site earlier, the owner of the mosque, Khalifa Fatihu Shiekh Gibirima, explained that he launched the mosque with the support of the community and the Muslim Ummah to build a Jumma’a mosque and center Islam worthy of the memory of the late Sheikh Mohammad. Gibirima.

He said the mosque had been under construction for more than four years but the dome suddenly collapsed during construction and killed four workers instantly while 30 others were rescued from the rubble.

Khalifa Fatihu Shiek Gibirima commended the Yobe State government for its concern and empathy.
